Happy 7th year to Metroline Limited and there is a double 7 in the catalogue number of our first digital release of 2015 for which we welcome to the family Belgian based producer Deltano.
Inspired throughout his life by a wide array of music from grunge to hip- hop via Belgian house, it’s only natural that Deltano after starting a career as dj in various Belgian clubs immersed himself in producing his own music too.
His deep, part house, part techno, but basically genre-defiant productions has come on labels like Rawthentic, Suara, Rockets & Ponies, Tzinah, Inmotion, Leone, Aella Music and many more.
The title track 'Mental Issue' is driven along by its infectious groove in which every element is very carefully programmed. Noises and efx pop in and out in the intricate arrangement and give full swing to the track together with lush pads and chopped vocals. Gentle and hypnotic minimalistic deep house and its best.
Chanson Pour Le Soleil is next...'a song for the sun'...isn't that what we all sing at the moment in these dark winter days? Well at least us London based people do...anyway, dreaming aside the track is a bouncy-chunky house affair with amazing programming again from beats layer master Deltano. KIller groove!
Reset ventures in deep techno territory. It's a more to the point number than the previous two tracks although the rhythm keeps shuffling along nicely with the help of a squelchy and disorienting syhth line.
Plenty of jacking minimalism in Lifer's remix. The Barcelona based producer displays his skills delivering a relentless dub techno driving monster which is perfect for the darkest of the after parties!
