Metroline dives into 2014 with a collection of aerodynamic techno cuts from label stalwart Phiorio.

Swimming Pool’s brooding slow burn. Those who know this guys productions know he is very happy at the deep end, and his trademark dub influence is still very strong. But here he keeps everything pressure cooker-tight - making for a tight energetic jam.

The Olympic Version of Swimming Pool barely comes up for air. The swing gets cranked, making space for more intricate dancefloor manoeuvres.

On the flip, Found The Way is a tight, industrial-tinged night move. The track’s seething bubble and growl is held together by some intricate high-end percussion work, which keeps things nicely focussed.

Last addition to the package is Rediscovered. As far as the track’s history goes it does pretty much what it says on the title. Produced by Phiorio at “some point” in the past it had just recently been recovered after a forgotten folder with unreleased material was “rediscovered”.

The track has a reduced shuffle groove that chugs along nicely and leads the way to infectious dub stabs.
